Location of Bevensen in Lower Saxony

Bevensen is a northern district of the city of Neustadt am Rübenberge in the Hanover region in Lower Saxony .

geography

The village is on the L 192. The south-western neighbor is Dudensen , eastern Lutter and northern Laderholz . To the west lies the town of Wenden in the Nienburg / Weser district .

history

In a document mentioning a place under the name Bevensen is documented for the year 1167. In this document, a nobleman Mirabilis transfers numerous goods to the diocese of Minden , including nine Hufen in Bevensen. Since the place is mentioned in connection with the nearby places Basse , Mecklenhorst, Luttmersen and Laderholz, it is unlikely that the place Bad Bevensen is meant. Another secondary source, however, assumes that the year 1250 was the first documented mention.

For the year 1260 the existence of a mill is in Bevensen that the Villikation belonged to the diocese Minden Dudensen.

Incorporations

As a result of the regional reform, Bevensen was combined with Büren and Laderholz to form the village of Bevensen on March 1, 1974 and incorporated into the city of Neustadt am Rübenberge.
