The Achim district was a district in the Prussian province of Hanover from 1885 to 1932 .

history

The Achim district was formed on April 1, 1885 as part of the formation of districts in the province of Hanover from the old Achim office .

On 1 October 1932, the county Achim was dissolved by a decree of the Prussian State Ministry and the old district of Verden to Verden together.

The two communities Hemelingen and Mahndorf left the Verden district on November 1, 1939 and were incorporated into the city of Bremen . The area of ​​the former Achim district that belongs to the Verden district is now known as the "old district of Achim".
