Karine Vanasse (born November 24, 1983 in Drummondville , Québec ) is a Canadian actress and film producer .

Life and accomplishments

Since the age of nine, Karine Vanasse wanted to be a singer and actress. She gained her first experience while appearing in television commercials. From 1998 to 2001 she co-hosted Les Débrouillards , a television show for children. Director Léa Pool discovered her and with her cast the leading role of Hanna in Emporte-moi - Take Me With You (1999). The youth film has been recognized with prizes at various international festivals. In the spring of 2001 Vanasse spent six months in Greece. In the theater she was on stage in the musical Irma, la douce (2002-2003). Directed by Charles Binamé , she played the leading role of Donalda in Séraphin: un homme et son péché (2002).
