Pierre Lebeau
Pierre Lebeau (born July 22, 1954 in Montreal , Canada ) is a Canadian actor in film and theater .
Life and accomplishments
Lebeau was born in the Canadian province of Québec and graduated from the National Theater School of Canada in Montreal in 1975 .
In the 1990s in particular, he took part in various Canadian theater productions, for example in 1994 at the Stratford Festival . In 2001 he played the title role in the play Macbeth at the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde in Montreal. In the drama Woyzeck by Georg Büchner he was in the Théâtre Ubu seen in Montreal.
Lebeau became known to a wider public through the comedy Les Boys (1997), which resulted in sequels. In the drama Maelström (2000) directed by Denis Villeneuve with Marie-Josée Croze , he spoke the narrative voice of the fish . He played a supporting role in the love drama La Turbulence des fluides (2002) with Pascale Bussières in the lead role.
In 2000, Lebeau was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Gémeaux Award for the television series Fortier . There were nominations for the Prix Jutra in 2000 as best actor for Matroni et moi and in 2002 as best supporting actor for Les Boys III . In 2003 he won this film award for best actor for Séraphin: un homme et son péché . In this love drama by Charles Binamé , Lebeau played the title role of the cold-hearted Séraphin at the side of Karine Vanasse and Roy Dupuis . In the hit bilingual action comedy Good Cop Bad Cop (2006) by director Eric Canuel , with Colm Feore and Patrick Huard in the lead roles, he played a sullen police chief.
In early May 2007, the play Lèvres had its world premiere, which was written by Lebeau, in which he directed and appeared as an actor.
