The Jork district was a Prussian district in the province of Hanover , which existed from 1885 to 1932. District seat was Jork in the old country .

history

The district was formed on April 1, 1885 as part of the reorganization of the districts in the province of Hanover from the independent city of Buxtehude , the old Jork office and the community Neuland of the old Harsefeld office .

Hasselwerder and Nincop were merged in 1929 to form the new community of Neuenfelde . The Neuland community was incorporated into Buxtehude in 1931 .

On August 1, 1932, the district of Jork was dissolved by a decree of the Prussian State Ministry. The area east of Este, consisting of the municipalities Francop , Hove , Neuenfelde, Rübke and Moorende the was district of Harburg in Lüneburg attached, the area west of Este went to the district of Stade .
