Estebrügge ( Low German Eestbrügg ) is a district of the municipality of Jork in the Altes Land in the Lower Saxony district of Stade .

Geography and transport links

The place is southeast of the core town Jork an der Este , a left tributary of the Elbe . The distance to the north flowing Elbe is 4.5 km, the distance to the eastern border with Hamburg is 2.5 km. North is the 68 ha large nature reserve (NSG) Borsteler Binnenelbe and Big Brack , south, the 1,317 ha NSG Moore in Buxtehude and southeast - in Hamburg area - the 737-hectare nature reserve Moor belt .

The A 26 runs south-west and the B 73 a little further south .

Wilhelm Riehn (1841–1920) was born in Estebrügge, worked as a mechanical and shipbuilding engineer in Magdeburg, Clausthal and Görlitz and taught from 1879 to 1910 at the Technical University of Hanover .
Johannes Gährs (1874–1956) is buried in the Estebrugge cemetery. He was a civil engineer and held office as ministerial director in the Reich Ministry of Transport and as president of the Prussian Academy of Building (1929).
