Borstel ( Low German Bossel ) is a district of the municipality Jork in the Altes Land in the district of Stade in Lower Saxony . The village of Lühe belongs to Borstel .
On July 1, 1972 Borstel was incorporated into the municipality of Jork.
Attractions
The St. Nicholas Church, a church hall in brick , was after Cecilia flood built in 1412 at its present location. In the years 1770–1772 it was extensively renovated. The bell tower dates from 1695. It is located one meter in front of the west wall of the church building. The late baroque pulpit altar dates from 1771.
The “Aurora” windmill , located on a piece of dyke , is a tourist destination.
The 68 hectare large nature reserve Borsteler Binnenelbe and Big Brack is located north of Borstel.
Eckhoff's Hofbrauerei, founded in 2006 and based in Borstel, is an active brewery in Germany.
