Otto von Westhoven

Otto Georg Moriz von Westhoven (born May 27, 1834 in Simmern , † 1916 in Wiesbaden ) was a German civil servant and member of parliament.

Otto von Westhoven, who was a Protestant denomination, initially embarked on a military career and entered the Prussian military service in 1854. In 1857 he became second lieutenant and in 1866 premier lieutenant. In 1870 he took part in the Franco-German War as a captain and company commander and suffered serious wounds near Gravelotte . In 1874 he therefore resigned from military service due to invadility.

From 1873 to 1875 he was an intern with the Prussian government in Sigmaringen. From 1875 to 1881 he was senior magistrate in the Gammertingen district , 1881 to 1883 in the Hechingen district and in 1883 until his retirement in the Sigmaringen district . From 1877 to 1885 he was a representative of the Gammertingen Regional Office and a member of the municipal parliament of the Hohenzollern Lands .
