The Oude Kwaremont is a 111 m high elevation belonging to the municipality of Kluisbergen in the Belgian province of East Flanders . With its 2.2 kilometers long and up to eleven percent steep ascent, the hill has been an integral part of the classic cycling tour of Flanders since 1974 . The last 1600 meters of the ascent, over cobblestones, are under monument protection. Since 2012, the Oude Kwaremont has been used together with the Paterberg in the finals of the Tour of Flanders shortly before the finish in Oudenaarde . The Paterberg is also regularly crossed at the E3 Flanders Prize and at Quer durch Flanders and until 2007 at the Omloop Het Volk .
