El Hadji Ousseyoune Dione-Mazobuga , called Ousseynou Dione or El Hadji Dione , (born March 25, 1973 ) is a former Senegalese soccer player who also has German citizenship .
Career
Pap , the nickname of the former U17 national player from Senegal, began his career in Germany at 1. FC Union Solingen in the Oberliga Nordrhein. Before that, he played for US Rail Thiès and Makala Watouyoula in his home country . For Wuppertaler SV he played in the Regionalliga West in 1997/98 before returning to the Oberliga Nordrhein and moving to 1. FC Bocholt . A year later, Ousseynou Dione moved to the second division side Hannover 96, where he was mainly used in the amateur team in the following season. The central defender played a total of 20 games in the 2nd Bundesliga and scored two goals, both in the 2003/04 season for SSV Jahn Regensburg , who moved to the same season. Before that he played for Sportfreunde Siegen in the Regionalliga Süd and SV Wacker Burghausen in the 2nd Bundesliga. After Jahn's descent, he stayed with the club for a year until he signed a new contract with the Hessian league promoted 1. FC Eschborn . From 2006 to 2008 he was employed by KFC Uerdingen 05 . Since then, Ousseynou Dione played in Luxembourg for CS Petingen . In the summer of 2011 he moved to league rivals FC Progrès Niederkorn . There he was still at the high football age of 40 years on the field before he ended his career there.
Others
- Dione was the first goalscorer in a second division season of SSV Jahn Regensburg in front of a home crowd since the Oberpfälzer's last promotion to the second division in 1977. He scored this goal in the 1: 2 of Regensburg against Arminia Bielefeld on September 19, 2003.
- In March 2006, Dione came into the focus of the media after he had stated in the course of the betting scandal that he had been offered 40,000 euros by an unknown caller in November 2005 if he was involved in a match- fixing of 1. FC Eschborn's regional league match against FC Augsburg participate. Dione declined the offer and notified his association, which turned on the State Criminal Police Office. Since the caller forgot to withhold his number, the suspects could be caught quickly.
