Ove king

Ove König (born June 25, 1950 in Askersund , † July 23, 2020 in Alingsås ) was a Swedish speed skater .

The sprint specialist finished 8th at the first sprint world championships in West Allis in 1970 , a year later he won the silver medal behind Erhard Keller but ahead of Ard Schenk . At the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo he came in 7th place over 500 meters and again in 5th place at the World Championships in Eskilstuna .

In 1973 he switched to the professionals and won a bronze medal there again.
