Oxana Lebedev

Oxana Lebedew ( Russian Оксана Лебедева Oxana Lebedewa ; born March 25, 1987 in Alma-Ata , Kazakh SSR , USSR ) is a German professional dancer and world champion of professionals in Latin American show dance.

Career

Lebedew, the daughter of a choreographer, has been dancing since she was seven. She achieved international fame in 2002 with her dance partner Sergei Ossejtschuk when they secured the world championship title at their first joint World Championship of Junior II Ten Dances . In the following years they were 4th in the World Junior II Latin Championship (2002), 4th in the World Championships Youth Ten Dances (2004), 2nd in the Youth Ten Dances category (2005) and third place in the Youth World Championships 2005 in the Latin section.

In 2006 she switched to the professionals together with her new dance partner, the three-time world champion of amateurs Franco Formica . In addition to their five-time title defense as German master of professionals in Latin American dances , they consistently achieved medals at World and European Championships, as well as the most important international Grand Slam tournaments in Blackpool , German Open Championships , UK Open and Internationals.

Oxana Lebedew and her husband Ilia Russo have been racing for Germany since 2011 and secured the runner-up title at the German championships in Latin American dances for professionals.

In 2016 Oxana Lebedew and Attila Hildmann took part in three episodes of the ninth season of the RTL dance show " Let's Dance ".

Oxana's partnership with Pavel Zvychaynyy began in May 2016. A world championship followed on November 19, 2016 at the world championships for professionals in show dance. The couple established themselves in the semi-finals of the “Professionals” and are among the top 7 in the world. In 2017, 2018 and 2019 Zvychaynyy / Lebedew became German champions in Latin American dances and freestyle. In April 2019 Oxana and Pavel won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Kremlin, Moscow.
