The Oyayubi Point ( Japanese 親 指 岬 Oyayubi-misaki , German 'thumb tip ' ) is a headland that marks the southern end of the island of Oyayubi Island off the Prince Harald coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land .
Surveys and aerial photographs of the Japanese Antarctic expedition, which was carried out from 1957 to 1962, were used to map them. The name given by Japanese scientists in 1972, which is based on that of the neighboring Cape Nakayubi ( Japanese 中指 岬 Nakayubi-misaki , German 'middle finger tip ' ), was translated into English by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in 1975.
