Péter Condor

Péter Kondor (* 1968 in Szeged ) is a Hungarian Lutheran theologian and since 2018 bishop of the southern diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hungary (ELKU).

Live and act

Péter Kondor completed his studies at the Evangelical Lutheran Theological University in Budapest and graduated in 1992. Afterwards he was in the pastoral service of the parishes in Nagyszénás - Gádoros (1992 to 1996), Szarvas - Őtemplon (1996 to 1998), Kondoros (1998 to 2001) and Békéscsaba (2001 to 2018), at the same time he took part in the church and the university numerous areas of responsibility fulfilled.

On June 30, 2018, Péter Kondor was introduced as the newly elected bishop of the southern church district of the ELKU as part of a festive service in the old church (evangélikus ótemplon) in Szarvas ( German  Hirschfeld ). The introduction was made by the leading bishop Tamás Fabiny . Kondor succeeded Bishop Péter Gáncs .

Péter Kondor is married and has two children.
