The LIAZ 100 is a truck made by the Czechoslovak commercial vehicle manufacturer LIAZ . It emerged from the Škoda 706 MT truck and was produced from 1974 to 1994. From 1994 it was replaced by the LIAZ 200 .

operation area

The LIAZ 10 was primarily designed for international long-distance traffic. Parallel to the production of the Škoda 706 MT , development and production began in 1975 at LIAZ in the Jablonec nad Nisou commercial vehicle plant. The flatbed version can be seen as the basic version, and there were also a number of other special models. A number of technical improvements have been achieved compared to the previous model. Between 1977 and 1989 these vehicles were imported from the GDR as flatbed trucks for long-distance freight transport and between 1985 and 1989 as tractor units.

technology

A lot of emphasis was placed on technical improvements to the previous model . Compared to this, the engine output could be increased again to 305 hp. There have also been a number of improvements in the fully synchronized transmission. The cab was much better soundproofed than its predecessor. The ventilation has been improved. In addition, the driver's cab, which was equipped with opening windows, was also more modern in design and had a bunk. In the first version, the cab could not yet be tilted. Here the engine could be reached via a flap in the interior or the removable grill insert. The tractor unit with the designation Š 110 received a tilting driver's cab .

The engines were derived from the basic version. The increase in performance was achieved through the use of a turbocharger . In addition, the drive units have been optimized with regard to fuel consumption and pollutant emissions .
