The Pan American Hockey Federation ( PAHF for short ) is the American continental hockey federation. It consists of 26 members. He is a member of the world hockey association FIH and organizes various continental competitions for women’s and men’s national teams, in particular the American continental championship, the Pan American Cup .

history

The PAHF was founded on October 17, 1959 under the name Pan-American Field Hockey Federation (short name PFHF). The first president was J. William Middendorf (USA), the first vice-president George Parsons (Argentina), after whom the George Parsons Trophy is named. Founding members were Argentina, Bermuda, Jamaica, the Netherlands Antilles and the USA.
