The Pas Tehran Football Club was an Iranian football club from the capital Tehran , which existed until 2007.
history
In 1953, some law enforcement officers met with Captain Assadolahi to better organize Iran's police sport . In the same year, Assadolahi founded a football team in the capital Tehran , which included officers from the local police academy and himself: Police Academy Cadets Team ( German cadet team of the police academy ) . The founding was officially announced and the championship of the armed forces took part. The team finished second in the first season. Only some time later, captains Assadolahi and Sadeghi took over the fortunes of the team, whose name changed to Shahrbani FC . On July 8, 1963, Shahrbani FC was officially registered as a sports club. The name changed to Pas . In 1966, the association's board passed the statutes. Pas was finally a real club.
The club belonged to the elite of Iranian club football from the start. Pas won a national championship every decade except for the 1980s. However, the 1990s were the most successful in club history, when Pas won the Iranian championship twice in the 1991/92 and 1992/93 seasons and the Asian Champions League in the 1993/94 season. In the 2003/04 season, Pas was again national champion.
Pas Tehran was dissolved at the end of the 2006/07 season. The license for participation in the Iranian championship went to the newly founded association Pas Hamadan .
