The PKP Pt47 series is a fast train - Train Locomotive of the Polish State Railways PKP.

The Pt47 series locomotives are a further development of the prewar Pt31 series . The locomotives were given a steel fire box and a closed driver's cab analogous to the Ty45 series . Initially, the locomotives were coupled with replicas of German tenders, from 1949 Polish 33D48 tenders were used, which were given the designation 27D48 after installing a stoker.

A total of 180 locomotives were produced between 1947 and 1951. Fablok in Chrzanów delivered the larger series of 120 locomotives , Cegielski in Poznań built another 60 locomotives.

Some locomotives have been preserved, only the Pt47-65, which is regularly used by the Wolsztyn depot, is currently operational (as of June 2017) . Due to the currently unclear and very tense situation in the historical railway system in Poland, there is currently nothing to suggest that this should change. In Wolsztyn Pt47-106 are turned off and 112, in Kościerzyna is Pt47-100 (ex Pt47-171) painted in green, in Chabowka Pt47-152, Pt47-121 nad as a monument in Kostrzyn Odra, in Lodz Pt47-1 and in Stargard Pt47-14.

In 1989 the Brenner & Brenner steam locomotive operating company imported the Pt 47-138 from Poland to Austria. It was overhauled, outwardly adapted to the appearance of the ÖBB series 919 (ex PKP series Pt31 ) and now carries special trains under the designation 919.138.
