PSR J1957 + 20 (also Black Widow or Black Widow ) is a millisecond pulsar with a brown dwarf as a companion at a distance of about 5000 light years . The system forms the prototype of the so-called black widows .

The brown dwarf PSR J1957 + 20 b has a mass of about 0.022 M , a radius of about 10,000 kilometers and a surface temperature of 2900-8300 K .
