Pablo Aurrecochea , full name Pablo Fernando Aurrecochea Medina , (born March 8, 1981 in Fray Bentos ) is a former Uruguayan football player . The goalkeeper gained notoriety for his jerseys in the comic book hero design.

Career

The 1.87 meter tall goalkeeper Aurrecochea belonged to the squad of the first division club Nacional Montevideo in the Primera División at the beginning of his career from the Clausura 1999 to the Apertura 2010 . From the Apertura 2000 up to and including the Apertura 2002 he played for the Argentinos Juniors . There he came in the Clausura 2002 to a first division use. He spent the period from the Clausura 2004 up to and including the Clausura 2006 in the ranks of the Paraguayan first division team Tacuary and played 89 first division games there. In the two half-series of 2007, a career station at Club Cerro Porteño followed as part of a loan deal , for which he played in 16 games in the Primera División . In the Apertura 2008 he completed five first division meetings - again for Tacuary. In 2008 he joined the Colombian club Atlético Bucaramanga . From the Apertura in 2009 until the end of 2013, Club Guaraní from the Paraguayan capital Asunción was his employer. A total of 135 first division appearances have been recorded for him during this engagement (2009: 23 games, 2010: 42, 2011: 22, 2012: 29, 2013: 19). At the beginning of 2014, he was loaned to league competitor Deportivo Capiatá . He guarded the club's goal in seven top division games. From July 2014 he continued his career in Chile with CD Antofagasta . With the Chileans he was used in 29 games in the Primera División and six times in the Copa Chile . At the beginning of July 2015, he moved to Club Atlético Atlanta . For the Argentinians, he played in 19 league games and two Copa Argentina matches . In mid-July 2016, he moved to Argentino de Merlo .
