Pablo Garibay

Pablo Garibay López (* 1978 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican guitarist .
In 1993 Pablo Garibay López began studying the guitar under Iván Rízquez. In 1995 he continued his studies under Juan Carlos Laguna at the National University of Mexico (UNAM) . He is currently studying for the concert exam at the Franz Liszt Music Academy in Weimar with Thomas Müller-Pering.
In Mexico he received a scholarship from the "FONCA-PAEE"; since 2006 scholarship from the “ DAAD ”.
Pablo Garibay López has already given numerous concerts in Mexico and Europe (including Belgium , Germany , France , Italy , Lithuania , Poland , Romania and Spain ) and has so far released four albums on CD.
Awards (selection)
- Prize winner in Buffalo (USA) at the “ JoAnn Falletta International Guitar Concerto Competition ” and in Alessandria (Italy).
- In 2003 awarded the National Youth Prize “Actividades Artísticas” by the Mexican President .
