Petter Brenna (born July 27, 1986 in Bærum ) is a Norwegian ski racer . His strongest disciplines are slalom and giant slalom .

Career

Brenna took part in FIS races for the first time in November 2001, appearances in the European Cup followed from December 2003. However, he did not win his first points in the European Cup until the 2006/07 season and in February 2008 he achieved his best so far with 14th place in the giant slalom in Jasná Result in this racing series. At Junior World Championships, his best result is tenth place in the combination in 2005 . In the World Cup , Brenna took part in three races for the first time in March 2007, but remained without points just like at his next and so far last World Cup start in February 2008. In March 2008 he became Norwegian champion in super combined.

Brenna has been studying at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque , United States, since 2008 . Since the 2008/09 season he has been competing in the Nor-Am Cup , the North American counterpart to the European Cup. There he quickly caught up with the leaders and celebrated his first victory in the giant slalom on Sunday River on January 6, 2009 . A year later he won the slalom at the same location. In the overall ranking he came second in the giant slalom and third in the slalom in the 2009/10 season . The following season he was fourth in the slalom classification.
