Pablo Manguel

Pablo Manguel (born November 18, 1912 in Buenos Aires , † October 17, 1984 ) was an Argentine diplomat .

Life

Pablo Manguel was the son of Elisa Elijovich and Adolfo Manguel. He studied until 1932 law , became the doctor of law doctorate, practiced the profession of lawyer in, was on labor specialized and founded a union of newspaper carriers. In 1946 he married Rosa Finkelstein; her sons were Alberto Adrian , who became a writer, Carlos Miguel and Juan Domingo.

On May 21, 1947, Natalio Cortés founded the Organización Israelita Argentina (OIA), a Jewish Peronist association. Pablo Manguel became the secretary of the OIA. From June 22, 1949 to 1954 he was ambassador to Tel Aviv . When Perón was excommunicated in 1955, Manguel mediated between the Church and Perón.
