Pachanga is a two- piece reggaeton group from San Juan , Puerto Rico .

Career

The group, founded in 2004, consisted of Jay del Alma (born October 27, 1980 in Brazil ) and Rico Caliente (born 1976 in Spain ). They became famous for their hit Loco , which reached number 17 in the German single charts and number 1 in the MTV ringtone charts in 2005 . Several top ten placements, especially in Eastern Europe, followed. With the 2006 single Close to You , which reached number 16, they were able to build on their success. In 2009 Jay del Alma entered the German charts with his solo single Mi corazón (a cover version of the Heinz-Rudolf-Kunze hit Dein ist mein Ganzes Herz ).

Rico Caliente left the band and a four year hiatus followed. The Chilean MC Sesman (* 1984 in Chile) replaced Rico Caliente and together they recorded the album "La Era Positiva" in 2015, which features features by Massari and Nyanda (from the group Brick & Lace ).
