Paddy Reilly

Patrick "Paddy" Reilly (born October 18, 1939 in Dublin ) is an Irish folk musician. He was best known for his versions of the songs The Fields of Athenry and The Town I Loved So Well .

Life

Paddy Reilly succeeded Ronnie Drew at The Dubliners in 1995 and left the group in 2005, whereupon he was replaced by Patsy Watchorn . For three decades Reilly was a partly very successful solo artist who not only appeared in Ireland , but also in Australia and the USA .
