Pagan I. (Haifa)
Pagan I. ( French Payen , Latin Paganus de Cayphas ; † after 1110) was a crusader and lord of Haifa in the Kingdom of Jerusalem .
He was probably a son or relative of Rohard († 1107), Lord of Haifa. In any case, he was his successor as Lord of Haifa.
In 1109 he was at the side of Tankred of Tiberias at the siege of Tripoli . He is mentioned for the last time in a document of King Baldwin I of Jerusalem on September 28, 1110. In it, the king confirmed to the Hospitaller Order, among other things, the possession of a serf peasant along with lands and houses in Haifa and the surrounding area, which Pagan had given to the order.
