history

The Palais Lanna was built in 1895 by Ernst von Gotthilf for the Bohemian industrialist Adalbert Freiherr von Lanna, the son of Karl Adalbert Lanna .

description

The residential palace is one of Gotthilf's early works and is still characterized by strongly neo-baroque forms. A rectangular base zone with framed basement windows and segment-arch-shaped windows on the ground floor with agraffes and straight window roofing is dominated by a side arched portal. Atlases have a two-story bay window. Lateral, flat risalits and giant Corinthian pilasters between the window axes emphasize the vertical. Rich baroque architectural decorations over the lintels, a continuous cornice on the top floor and a protruding cornice complete the facade.
