Palazzo Correggio is a palace in Venice in the Veneto region of Italy . It is located in the Santa Croce sestiere with a view of the Grand Canal between Palazzo Donà and Ca 'Corner della Regina .
history
The palace was built during the 18th century in place of a 16th century house that belonged to Orazio Correggio . The architect was a student of the builder Andrea Tirali . This branch of the Correggio family died out with Zandonà Correggio , who committed suicide on June 25, 1738 because of economic problems .
description
The main facade of the four-story building is simple and quite elegant, but not very noticeable overall. The ground floor with the portal to the water in the middle with rustication decorated, while the upper floors simple window show, of which the two triple window in the middle with entablature and tympanum particularly noticeable.
