Pallavolo Padua is an Italian men's volleyball club from Padua in the province of Padua ( Veneto region ), which plays in the Italian Serie A.

Pallavolo Padua was founded in 1970 as Petrarca Padua and, with a few exceptions, always played in the top Italian division "Serie A1". The club had a lot of different names, depending on who was a sponsor. B. Ciesse Padua , Charro Padua , Sempervolley Padua or currently Fidia Padua . The most successful years were from 1988 to 1994, when Padua came third in the European CEV Cup once, second four times and even won the cup in 1994. In 2005 and 2006 Padua again reached the Final Four of the CEV Cup. During this time, the German national players Christian Pampel , Björn Andrae and a little later Robert Kromm played for the club. After the 2011/12 season Padua (with the German Sebastian Schwarz ) had to relegate to the "Serie A2".
