Balance sheet

The Moerser SC came in the preliminary round at the tournament in Menen. However, the team from North Rhine-Westphalia did not manage to win and was eliminated from the bottom of the table.

In Soria, SCC Berlin won 3: 1 against the Belgian representative from Halen and 3: 0 against TSV Hartberg, but had to admit defeat to the Spanish hosts 1: 3 in the decisive game and reached second place in the group.

The TSV Hartberg lost not only against the Berliner, but also defeated in his other two games and had to be Table after the first round goodbye.

Schwechat Sokol V was defeated in České Budějovice to the Czech host and the later finalist Odinzowo from Russia. So the final win against Aalborg was worthless.

Chênois Geneva was allowed to host a tournament itself. There the Swiss defeated the Eastern European opponents from Baku and Belgrade, but failed in a game over five sets against the Greek representative PAOK Thessaloniki.

The TV Amriswil lost their first game against the group winners from Patras in Bratislava and therefore missed the round of 16 despite two 3-0 wins against the hosts and Patras from Cyprus.
