Pankraz Blank

Pankraz Blank (born April 30, 1882 in Gaulsheim ; † July 5, 1961 ibid) was a Hessian politician ( center ) and former member of the Landtag of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar Republic .

Pankraz Blank was the son of the farmer Johann Baptist Blank and his wife Susanna, nee Hemmes. He married Barbara Franziska Blank, née Müller, on June 21, 1919. Pankraz Blank was Catholic. After training as a businessman, Pankraz Blank worked as a self-employed farmer. In the First World War he did military service.

In 1932 he became a member of the Chamber of Agriculture for Rheinhessen and in 1947 co-founder of the Rheinhessischer Bauernverband. 1952–1959 he was Vice President of the Rheinhessische Landwirtschaftskammer.

Pankraz Blank belonged to the center and was a member of the state parliament for the center for 6 electoral terms between 1921 and 1933. With the seizure of power by the Nazis, he had to retire from active politics.
