Panna is a city in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh .
Panna is the administrative seat of the district of the same name in the north of Madhya Pradesh. The city is on the national highway NH 75 ( Chhatarpur - Satna ). Southwest of the city is the Panna National Park .
The city had 50,820 inhabitants at the 2011 census, including suburbs ( outgrowths ) 59,091.
Panna was the capital of the former princely state of the same name .
