description
The animal sculpture set up in the Südpark was created by the sculptor Fritz Behn around 1920 (a more precise dating could not be done so far due to a lack of original documents). The expressive sculpture of a big cat is shown in an exciting hunting posture. Due to the reduced shape and the smoothly treated surface, the large sculpture can be considered modern for the time it was created.
Together with the surrounding park, the sculpture was placed under protection on July 1, 1980 as a small monument (monument no. 231).
