Panzerjagd Division Vistula

The tanks Hunting Division Vistula was a major unit of the Army of the German Wehrmacht in World War II .

Division history

The unit was set up from the end of February 1945 to March 1, 1945, initially as the Vistula Panzerjagd-Verband (also Army Panzerjagd-Verband ). The unit was to lead the tank hunting units in the Vistula Army Group . At the end of March 1945 the unit was renamed the Vistula Panzerjagd Division .

The division was supposed to coordinate the use of the Panzerjagd Brigades, especially behind the Wotan position , and at the end of April 1945 it was subordinated to the 3rd Panzer Army . The operational area was west of the Seelower heights. The whereabouts of the association is unknown.
