Paolo Maurensig
Paolo Maurensig (born March 26, 1943 in Gorizia ) is an Italian writer.
Life
Maurensig was born in northeast Italy, on the border with Slovenia , in 1943 . Before he published his first novel La variant di Lüneburg in 1993 at the age of 50 (German 1994 as Die Lüneburg variant ), he worked in various professions, including a. as a sales representative and as a restorer of old musical instruments. In addition to the Lüneburg variant , v. a. his second novel Canone inverso (German: Spiegelkanon ) from 1996 is internationally known. Maurensig lives near Udine , a few kilometers from his birthplace.
