Paolo Moffa

Paolo Moffa (born December 16, 1915 in Rome , † 2004 in Nice ) was an Italian film director and film producer .

Life

Moffa started in the film business in 1934 as an assistant editor . Soon he also worked as a film editor and assistant director and occasionally directed himself - between 1943 and 1982 for seven films. However, he found his main field of activity in production. In 1958 he founded Ambrosiana Cinematografica and was henceforth mainly as a manager worked and producer for feature films, but also financed documentaries . After his retirement he lived in France. For a spaghetti western, he chose the pseudonym John Byrd .
