Django - black god of death (Original title: Star Black ) is a 1966 incurred spaghetti westerns , the Gianni Grimaldi in German co-production with Robert Woods staged in the lead role. However, it did not appear in German-language cinemas until April 7, 1972.

Johnny Blyth returns to his hometown; he finds his father long murdered and his mother married to Uncle Harold. The banker rules the place with his group of bandits, who are opposed not only by Johnny and a deaf and dumb friend, but also by a mysterious stranger called "Starblack". Together they find out who the murderers of Johnny's father were and can checkmate the banker. Starblack reveals its identity: Johnny Blyth.
criticism
“Plain and unimaginatively staged, shooting spaghetti westerns.” Writes the lexicon of international film . Christian Keßler thinks this co-production is "more than enjoyable, because Grimaldi knows his craft." Ulrich P. Bruckner says: "Best Action Western by Giovanni Grimaldi."
Remarks
The title song is interpreted by the lead actor Woods. While the theatrical version was released in Germany from 18 in 1966, the Blu-ray Disc and DVD were released uncut from 16 in 2020.
