Paolo Schiavon

Paolo Schiavon (born September 1, 1939 in Terranegra , Padua ) is an Italian clergyman and auxiliary bishop emeritus in Rome .

Life

Paolo Schiavon was ordained a priest on March 17, 1962 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Rome and titular bishop of Trebia on July 18, 2002 . The cardinal vicar and archpriest of the Lateran Basilica , Camillo Ruini , donated him episcopal ordination on September 21 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were Archbishop Cesare Nosiglia , auxiliary bishop in Rome, and Antonio Mattiazzo , archbishop ad personam and bishop of Padua .

On March 6, 2015, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
