Pape N'Diaye Souaré (born June 6, 1990 in Pikine ) is a Senegalese professional footballer who joined ES Troyes AC as a left-back in August 2019 .

Career

Souaré started his career at Diambars FC in Senegal. In 2008 he moved to France to OSC Lille , where he first played for the second team and was later promoted to the professional team. For the 2012/13 season he was loaned to Stade Reims.

He joined Crystal Palace in January 2015 and signed a three-year deal for an undisclosed transfer that was valued at £ 3.5m. He made his debut on February 14th in the fifth round of the FA Cup in a 2-1 home defeat by Liverpool .

After being incapacitated for 11 months in a car accident, he made his comeback on September 19, 2017 in a 1-0 home win against Huddersfield Town in the third round of the League Cup .

After the end of his contract he moved back to France in August 2019, now in the second division to ES Troyes AC .

National team

Souaré made his national team debut on February 29, 2012 in a goalless friendly against South Africa at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban . He later represented his home country at the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2015 Africa Cup . He was not nominated for the final squad for the 2018 World Cup .
