Papyrus 13 ( designated with the Sigel ¹³ in the Gregory-Aland numbering , von Soden α 1034) is an early Greek copy of the New Testament . It is a papyrus manuscript from the 3rd century and is sometimes dated to AD 225–250. ${\displaystyle {\mathfrak {P}}}$

Papyrus ¹³ was discovered by Bernard Pyne Grenfell and Arthur Surridge Hunt in Oxyrhynchus in Egypt and in 1904 as P. Oxy. Published IV 657. It is kept in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo under the signature PSI 1292 and in the British Library in London under the signature Pap 1532vo. ${\displaystyle {\mathfrak {P}}}$

The text received comprises twelve columns, each with 23 to 27 lines of a scroll . It comes from the letter to the Hebrews , in detail it is the verses 2,14-5,5; 10.8-22; 10.29-11.13; 11.28-12.17. The page numbers indicate that there was another text in the original scroll that preceded the Letter to the Hebrews.

The Greek text of the Codex represents the Alexandrian text type . Aland placed it in Category I . Papyrus ¹³ corresponds closely to the text of Codex Vaticanus . There is also an 80% agreement with ⁴⁶ . It is the largest papyrus manuscript next to the Chester Beatty papyri . ${\displaystyle {\mathfrak {P}}}$ ${\displaystyle {\mathfrak {P}}}$

${\displaystyle {\mathfrak {P}}}$¹³ is written on the back ( verso ) of a scroll, the front ( recto ) contains the story of Rome by Livy ; this copy is dated around AD 200.
