Papyrus 38 (named after Gregory-Aland with Sigel 38 ) is an early Greek copy of the New Testament . This papyrus manuscript of the Acts of the Apostles only contains verses 18.27-19.6.12-16. It was dated to the early 3rd century by means of paleography .
The Greek text of the Codex represents the Western text type . Kurt Aland called it a "free text" and placed it in Category IV . The text of this manuscript is related to the Codex Bezae .
It is currently registered at the University of Michigan under the signature P. Mich. Inv. No. 1571 kept in Ann Arbor .
