Paradox is a 2009 British science fiction crime series that consists of just five episodes in one season. In early 2010, the English newspaper The Sun announced that the BBC would not continue the series.
It premiered in the UK from November 24th to December 22nd, 2009 on BBC One . In Germany, the series was first broadcast between September 1 and October 6, 2010 on RTL II .

The series is about a police team led by Detective Inspector Rebecca Flint who tries to solve and prevent events in the near future. The only indications of these events are series of apparently incoherent images that the astrophysicist Dr. Christian King receives from a satellite in his laboratory .

The series was conceived by the British screenwriter and former actress Lizzie Mickery , she also wrote the script for four of the five episodes. Simon Cellan Jones and Omar Madha directed. The series was produced by Clerkenwell Films for BBC Northern Ireland. The series was shot in 13 weeks in the summer of 2009 and was set in Manchester .

The synchronization was carried out by the Interopa Film dubbing studio . Dennis Schmidt-Foss, who also plays the role of Callum Gada in the series, took over the dialogue and dubbing .
