Emun Elliott (* 28. November 1983 in Edinburgh , as Emun Mohammadi ) is a Scottish actor .

Life

Elliott was born Emun Mohammadi in Edinburgh, the son of a Persian and a Scottish woman. At the University of Aberdeen , he studied English literature and French . After a year he dropped out of his studies and moved to the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (RSAMD) in Glasgow , where he graduated from the Institute for Drama in 2005.

Immediately after attending university, he got his first television role as Danny in an episode of the TV series Monarch of the Glen . In the miniseries (six-part) Feel the Force , he played a leading role for the first time a few months later in the role of PC MacGregor . Other occupations followed in Afterlife and The Clan . In 2009 followed a leading role in the miniseries Paradox . In 2010 he played the devout warrior Swire in Black Death alongside Hollywood greats such as Sean Bean and Carice van Houten . He was also seen in the series Game of Thrones (as Bard Marillion ), Lip Service and in the two-parter The Lost Labyrinth . From 2012 he took on the lead role of John Moray in two seasons of the BBC television series The Paradise . In 2015 he played the role of Major Taslin Brance in Star Wars: The Force Awakens .
