Threesome (English name for threesome ) is a Britcom that was produced from 2011 to 2012. The idea for the series came from Tom MacRae, a screenwriter and playwright who wrote the scripts for most of the episodes. The series is the first comedy program commissioned by Comedy Central in the UK itself.

The first season consists of seven episodes and ran from October to November 2011. In February 2012, Comedy Central extended the series by another season, which also consists of seven episodes and was shown on television for the first time in October and November 2012, respectively. The German premiere of the series took place in February and March 2018 on the ARD branch One .

action

Alice Heston, 29, lives in an apartment with her fiancé, Mitch Ennis, and her best friend, Richie Valentine, who is gay . The lifestyle of the three is characterized by frequent parties and a relaxed, carefree attitude to life. On Alice's 30th birthday, the friends have an unplanned threesome after a dissolute party under the influence of alcohol . A few days later, Alice finds out that she is pregnant . It's not clear whether Mitch or Richie is the father.

Alice decides against an abortion and wants to raise the baby in a love triangle with the two potential fathers. At the end of the first season the child is born and is christened Lily Owen. The girl receives the double surname Valentine-Ennis due to the unresolved paternity.
