The Parang Amanremu , also Amanremu , Amanremoe , Amaremoe , Meremoe , Mermo , Samaremoe , Semaremoe is a sword from Sumatra.

description

The Parang Amanremu has a straight, single-edged, bulbous blade. The blade is from the booklet to place only narrow and wider toward the town and bulbous. The blade's center of gravity is in place to increase the force of the blow. The place is rounded. The blade has neither a central ridge nor a hollow grind. The booklet has no guard. It is made of wood or horn and is usually made fork-shaped on the pommel. There are different types of booklet, which vary depending on the place of manufacture or use. The scabbards are made of wood that is cut in half. The two halves are held together with rattan cords or thin strips of sheet metal. The Parang Amanremu is a version of the Parang.
