Parc André-Citroën

The Parc André Citroën is a park in Paris . Covering an area of 14 hectares , the park was built in 1992 in the heart of the 15th arrondissement on the site of the former Citroën automobile factory in postmodern style by landscapers Gilles Clément and Alain Provost and architects Patrick Berger, Jean-François Jodry and Jean-Paul Viguier created.
The parking area connects the Seine with the residential development and thus offers an exciting contrast with the futuristic style of the commercial and residential buildings. In addition to two large glasshouses, there are also smaller themed greenhouses. The generous focal point is formed by meadows traversed by watercourses, which gradually descend towards the Seine. For example, you can admire a white , black , red and blue garden . In order to ensure the opening to the banks of the Seine, the RER embankment had to be replaced by a bridge.
At first glance, the Jardin en mouvement (garden in motion) is a natural meadow. Dandelions , daisies , violets , clover and grasses grow here unchecked.
Other attractions are the installed there Eutelsat - captive balloon , which is used as a floating viewing platform, and furnished between the two large glass houses fountains.
