The Portofino Natural Park ( Parco naturale Regional di Portofino ) is located in the Italian region of Liguria on a peninsula of the Riviera di Levante belonging to the metropolitan city of Genoa . It is located about 30 kilometers from the regional capital Genoa . Its western section belongs to the Golfo Paradiso , while the north-eastern part belongs to the Tigullio . Established on June 20, 1935, the Natural Park is administered by the municipalities of Camogli , Portofino and Santa Margherita Ligure . The latter is also the seat of the Portofino marine reserve , which surrounds the nature park in a U-shape.
