Tigullio
Tigullio (Italian: Tigullio ) is a region in the metropolitan city of Genoa .

Under Tigullio the province section of the south-east of understands Genoa located Riviera di Levante and includes the Gulf of Tigullio (Italian: Golfo del Tigullio) and the communities that are in this section of the Ligurian Sea are.
The Gulf of Tigullio (also called the Gulf of Guglielmo Marconi ) is formed by a sea bay that extends between the Parco naturale di Portofino in the north and the headland of Manara in the south.
Within the gulf there are further bays , which in the west of the Gulf of Paraggi (bounded by the municipalities of Portofino and Santa Margherita Ligure ), the roadstead of Santa Margherita Ligure, the Gulf of Pagana, with the three bays Prelo , Trelo and Pomaro and are the Gulf of Rapallo . To the east, near Sestri Levante, there are two famous bays: the Baia delle Favole (the fairy tale bay ) and the Baia del Silenzio (the bay of silence); which are separated from each other by a headland.
The inland, which connects to the coastal section of the Gulf of Tigullio, is characterized by the mountainous landscape of the Ligurian Apennines . The most important valleys of the mountain range are also located here: the Valle Sturla , Val d'Aveto , Val Fontanabuona , Val Graveglia and Val Petronio .
The Entella river (from the confluence of the Lavagna , Graveglia and Sturla streams ), which flows into the sea between Chiavari and Lavagna after a distance of eight kilometers, is one of the larger watercourses of Tigullio .
Seen from the sea, the most important mountain peaks of the Tigullio can be made out: Monte Maggiorasca (1,804 meters) and Monte Penna , which are snow-covered in winter.
