Park Hae-jung
Park Hae-jung (born July 29, 1972 in Iksan , South Korea ) is a South Korean table tennis player who won a silver medal at world championships and bronze at the Olympic Games in the 1990s.
Career
Park Hae-jung's first international success was winning the Asian Youth Championship in mixed with Hyun Jung-sik in 1989. From 1991 to 2000 she was nominated for six world championships . In 1995 she was second with the South Korean women's team. She won bronze medals three times, namely in 1993 and 2000 in a team competition and in 1999 in doubles with Kim Moo-kyo . In 1996 and 1998 she took part in the Asian Championships , where she was third in mixed both times. She also reached the final in doubles with Kim Moo-kyo in 1998.
At the ITTF Pro Tour tournaments, she qualified for the Grand Finals in 1996 and 1997 , where she was in the finals in doubles in 1996 with Ryu Ji-hae and in 1997 with Kim Moo-kyo. With Ryu Ji-hae, she also won bronze at the 1996 Summer Olympics .
Park Hae-jung's best placement in the ITTF world rankings was twelfth at the end of 1997.
