Kim Moo-kyo (born August 27, 1975 in Gyeongju , South Korea ) is a South Korean table tennis player . She was twice in the finals of world championships and is a bronze medalist at the 2000 Olympic Games.

Career

Kim Moo-kyo is left-handed and plays in the shakehand racket position. From 1995 to 2004 she took part in six world championships . In 1995 she reached the finals with the South Korean women's team and in 2001 in mixed with Oh Sang-eun . In 1999 she reached the semi-finals in doubles with Park Hae-jung . In the team competition she won bronze in 2000 and 2001.

Kim Moo-kyo qualified three times to take part in the Grand Finals of the ITTF Pro Tour series. Here she came in doubles in 1996 with Park Kyung Ae in the semi-finals and in 1997 with Park Hae-jung in the final. She was also successful at the Asian Championships , where she finished second in doubles in 1998 with Park Hae-jung and in 2000 with Ryu Ji-hae .

At the Summer Olympics , Kim Moo-kyo was represented in doubles in 1996 and 2000 . In 2000 she won bronze with Ryu Ji-hae . In the ITTF world rankings she was in 17th place in March and October 2001.

After the end of her active career, she worked as a trainer.
